Nick also has a passion for the environment and sustainability. His goal is to continue to utilise his skills to help essential primary industries operate with a smaller environmental impact. This is where the NIXSO slogan ‘Engineering Efficiency’ began.
Dale Jones
Mechanical Engineer
-
Dale has over 8 years’ experience in equipment, plant and process design and uses his creative approach and project management experience to provide site planning and mechanical engineering solutions across a wide range of industries. Dale started his engineering career in the manufacturing industry, designing and implementing electromechanical automation equipment. He has now brought these skills to NIXSO, where he continues to develop engineered solutions for customers, utilising CAD and finite element analysis to deliver robust but efficient designs.
After growing up on the Central Coast of NSW, Dale moved to Sydney to study mechanical engineering at the University of New South Wales. On completion of study, he escaped the rat-race and returned to work as a Project Engineer at the Central Coast’s largest manufacturing facility, and raise a young family. His personal passion is for the marine environment, enjoying boating, diving and fishing on weekends. He now resides in Diamond Beach on the Mid Coast of NSW, and in conjunction with the rest of the NIXSO team delivers engineering solutions state wide.
Mitch Lennon
Mechanical Engineer
-
Mitch joined the NIXSO team after a 2 year stint in the rail industry working with track infrastructure machinery. This opportunity allowed him to develop both his technical and practical skills, where he was responsible for maintenance programming and providing design support while also spending time on track as a track machine operator and crew supervisor. He enjoys engaging with NIXSO’s clients to provide innovative, practical and effective solutions for a wide range of projects.
Originally hailing from Inverell in North-West NSW, Mitch made the move to Newcastle in 2017 to study Mechanical Engineering after spending 12 months travelling Australia and working on a cattle station in the Pilbara, WA. This background generated a passion for the agricultural industry and the importance of innovation and reliability, influencing his decision to become an engineer. Mitch is also a keen sportsman, playing rugby league and touch football locally in Newcastle and enjoys getting away to a quiet campsite on the weekends.
Meet the Team
NIXSO is currently a team of 3 highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineers. Nick, Dale and Mitch all bring individual skills and knowledge to the table, increasing the power of collaboration. The NIXSO team can work efficiently together or individually to achieve the desired results.
